Walk and talk therapy is a therapy or coaching session conducted in a Philadelphia city park utilizing the meditative benefits of nature and the grounding benefits of physical activity. Walking gets a client moving physically and therefore, mentally and emotionally.  Studies show that even a gentle walk can immediately increase your mood, ability to handle stress and leave you more alert.

Walking, much like a traditional therapy session, is at the pace and comfort of the client. The focus being, fresh air, nature, moderate activity and the ability for ease of movement outside of a traditional clinical space.

Experiences that might be stored as tension in the muscles are alleviated with movement and fresh air, in addition to the soothing qualities of natural visual stimuli.

Furthermore, movement helps some people to access emotions that might otherwise be uncomfortable or otherwise inaccessible. Research shows that walking with visual distraction may allow for easier engagement for clients who experience anxiety.

Physical activity improves our overall health by aiding in creativity and wellness and reducing stress.
